Session Summary:

Storytelling based on +10years experience of scaled agile transfer at global level. What not to miss in order to succeed with scaled agile transfer?

Session Abstract:

I will share my experience from the global transfer work that I have been part of since 2004. This in different roles at different companies through the years as line manager, agile coach, teacher, workshop facilitator etc.

Why did some of this big companies succeed and others not? Some insights has taken time to get, but now after +10years I can see some patterns and they are valid for most type of companies regardless size.

The Siemens Global Agile Transfer 5 global R&D sites, 3 Time zones… is still the most successful story comparing with other similar companies.

Learning Objectives:

The take away from this session will be how important it is to understand that Agile is not a process, it’s a mindset in a similar way as Lean. It’s business- not tech driven. It involves everyone at a company, their partners and customers.

How important it is to involve everyone and also be able to explain why this transfer is important. It’s all about continuous learning, experiments, reflections, teamwork, pairing, sharing. You need the company leader involved not just stating their support and then run and do something else. “Culture eats strategy for breakfast”.
